RE: Info on moving to pahoa - aklb43 - 02-28-2017 Kalakoa, what do you think about setting up a 20' container home with one of the security locks that you can't use bolt cutters on? I would only consider the container building for security reasons. The container would be mainly a sleeping area and small deck with roof would be attached for the lanai. Maybe add some motion lights. I wouldnt mind moving to the Puna area, but I dont think I could find work as a graphic designer. Thanks for the information. RE: Info on moving to pahoa - kalakoa - 02-28-2017 security locks that you can't use bolt cutters on Thieves will just cut the next weakest point. dont think I could find work as a graphic designer Puna works best if you bring your own money: retirement income, remote work, or enough cash to pay for the build. RE: Info on moving to pahoa - BigKEO - 03-02-2017 Crime is always a matter of opportunity. And thieves will always find a way. Like Kalakoa said, why build if you aren't there to monitor and manage the property? That's exposing yourself. I suppose you could consider a live-in caretaker of sorts, but good luck finding someone you can trust. |
