RE: Drought? - glassnumbers - 04-23-2017 can't wait to get there and share that weather with you guys ![]() ![]() Aloha ![]() RE: Drought? - MarkP - 04-23-2017 3 months of drought brought my tank down to 1/2 full, then 3 days of rain brought it back up to 3/4 full. I can live with that. Also my solar PV system has averaged over 16 kwh/day the last 2 or 3 days. That is while heating all my domestic hot water with an electric resistance water heater as an opportunity load plus loads of laundry on the hottest cycle and intermittent dehumidifier use when it looked like PV capacity was going un-utilized. A few more panels and I will be able to arc-weld on rainy days. RE: Drought? - TomK - 04-26-2017 Current forecasts have some very wet weather heading this way over the weekend. Right now the target seems to be Maui, but the MKWC is warning of potentially heavy snowfall and thunderstorms over Mauna Kea starting Saturday night. It's a few days away right now so the forecast may change. https://goo.gl/DvcDBR RE: Drought? - Kenney - 04-27-2017 We'd love some very wet weather here! Tanks pretty full but landscape really dry. Fingers crossed! RE: Drought? - eigoya - 04-28-2017 Rain this morning near sea, but while forecast has rain almost daily for a week, it doesn't appear to add up to more than an inch. RE: Drought? - Palanakonu - 04-28-2017 Rain from about 3am until 9am here in Na'alehu. Never got heavy, but 6 hours of a light drizzle can do wonders. RE: Drought? - TomK - 04-28-2017 The forecasts seem to be tightening up for the weekend. Maui looks to be due to get the worst of it, but the Big Island is under threat as well, particularly flooding rain and thunderstorms. The observatories are still expecting significant snow with drifting on Mauna Kea, so am sure the road will be closed to the summit by MKSS, just in case anyone has plans. RE: Drought? - leilaniguy - 04-30-2017 Anybody dry today? RE: Drought? - Kenney - 04-30-2017 Not here Leilani guy. (HPP) Thunder now. Time to charge your devices. RE: Drought? - terracore - 04-30-2017 0.63" so far today in Orchidland. Looks like picking yesterday to plant some lawn patch was a good call. |
