I've flown in & out of KOA many times since 2005. Most successful was placing an ad on Craigslist rideshare. I always found an interesting ride & offered $20 then to $40 now for gas. My backup plan, The bus used to offer Taxi coupons, but not any more, I think. Lately, friends have driven me for gas money or using my vehicle. My savings out of KOA always outweighs the expenditure for the ride & it's usually a direct flight.
