Our fry plays uke and guitar.  More guitar though.

Found an interesting, current CB article on the subject with some history.  https://www.civilbeat.org/2025/03/denby-fawcett-hawaii-hits-ukulele-jackpot/

.    Taimane Gardener's Carmen / Phantom of the Opera video has 3.9 million views on YouTube.  And she's featured on Ringo's The Weight production that's had 43 million hits.  And she's headlined at the Kenedy Center.

Yeah, me too, guitar since I was knee high to a grasshopper.. but the uke has it's place.. fun to grab and strum along with.. although I'm used to the larger more expansive neck of a guitar..

As to listening.. Jake Shimabukuro and Mick Fleetwood recently put together a few tracks.. unfortunately YouTube won't let them play inline. Here's Rollin' N Tumblin'

And Whiter Shade of Pale..

I was going to post some of Willy K's jazz/blues application of the uke, but have been taken with Jake and Mick's collaboration lately..
