RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-14-2025 administer more vaccines Yes, they can administer, usually by following CDC guidelines. But they haven’t been trained to determine what the guidelines should be or study viral transmission throughout a population. A nurse at Long’s can also administer vaccines but s/he’s not a doctor or vaccine expert. RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - Punatang - 04-15-2025 * Doing their own research rather than asking their doctor for a recommendation? Well, lets say you do ask a Doctor you know and have a high degree of trust for because they are not the type of person to go along to get along and in fact they sacrifice everything to help others, and this high degree of trust is bolstered further by the fact that you know that a US Senator has had that same Doctor testify on an issue that is tangential to and includes vast research about the procedure you are inquiring about and that Doctor who you trust gives you his highly informed advice regarding said, very common, medical procedure, would that be good enough? RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - Punatang - 04-15-2025 to each their own Gump! You are a G__ D____ genius! RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-15-2025 Doctor testify on an issue that is tangential to I think it’s fine if an individual has a noncommunicable disease or affliction and chooses to rely on tangential information, possibly unrelated to the actual disease because it’s a tangent and not directly related, and uses Tractor Supply as their pharmacy. But anything communicable? Or highly contagious? If they’ve already made one questionable decision in doing their own research, they may not be the best judge of determining if it’s safe for them to walk into a crowded Target store, or Home Depot, and sneeze and cough, or get on a plane at Hilo Airport with 100+ other unsuspecting passengers. Because they think they’re probably fine, and a mask is inconvenient and heavy and besides that one guy found a “study” that masks are ineffective and that’s good enough to halt all further reading on the subject matter. Instead of Typhoid Mary they become a 21st century COVID Kimo. RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - Punatang - 04-15-2025 so what you really meant, is that instead of "asking their doctor for a recommendation", we should all ask you or your Doctor for a recommendation. Just say what you mean. RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-15-2025 so what you really meant, is that instead of "asking their doctor for a recommendation", we should all ask you Not at all what I said. Questions: Is some guy on the internet your doctor? Is one guy testifying at a congressional hearing your doctor? RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - ironyak - 04-15-2025 One could always learn some math and science so they could understand why tens of thousands of doctors and medical professionals with decades of experience all agree on the benefits of vaccination. You know, instead of shopping around for the fringe contrary opinion that says what you want to hear i.e. just feeding your Confirmation bias. While there are lots of fairy tales to choose from, there is a whole other section of non-fiction available in market of ideas also! https://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/2025/04/03/opinion/the-dangerous-war-on-vaccines/ RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - Punatang - 04-15-2025 You know, instead of shopping around for the fringe contrary opinion that says what you want to hear Agreed, you should cease doing that immediately. In this case, I've known the the Doctor and his family for many years prior to anyone ever hearing of or thinking about Covid. No shopping required. No internet required. I also had no opinion or bias that needed confirmation. So there goes your conspiracy theory. I do not know his position on MMR yet but I suspect he is all for it. My entire family has already had MMR and/or MMRV. We aren't anti-vax. We don't eat 'ama'ama but no one ever accused us of being anti-fish. The fact is, I trust this Doctor's motives and judgement much more than your thousands of intimidated rubber stampers or the captured media that amplifies them. But that's me. You do you. Like MyMan says, "to each his own." RE: Vaccines urged as Hawaii confirms measles case in child under 5 - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-15-2025 I trust this Doctor's motives and judgement much more than Hard to discuss the issue in generic terms & with an unnamed doctor. I’ll only add that there’s an easy and somewhat effective solution to this situation. If those who prefer alternative medicines and one stop shopping for their hay bales and pharmaceuticals would also quarantine when they are sick, wear a mask for the 5 days or so they’re contagious, wash hands, etc it could almost be a win-win approach that’s far better than the current hand and mouth viral transport system we have on every door handle, items picked up and returned to shelves, incubating generally unsupervised children in public places touching everything, etc… |
