RE: Any one tried to make wine from Hawaii fruit? - Guest - 07-21-2008 I would imagine substituting any sweet and tangy juice for the apple juice would be fine. Wine is the simplest alcoholic drink to make. In fact you can use just apple juice or anything that has a sugar/acid ratio. That white powdery stuff you see on grapes is actually a yeast that is ideal for wine. RE: Any one tried to make wine from Hawaii fruit? - Kapohocat - 08-10-2008 Just an update! We drank the mango beer Friday night with our "india" dinner potluck! It was pretty good. The beer in the green bottles tasted a lot like ale with mango in tonic. The beer in clear bottles were same but more acidic. Both stored in a cool dark place while "aging". |
