Congrats to her Dave! I guess that means you are not moving into your house anytime soon. [Smile]

John,

That is probably true. [Smile] However, if something happens that I am currently working on then it may happen sooner than later. And my wife will have to be MY book keeper. I am taking your advice and working on my own biz. It is a longshot but I think I found a niche market here on the island that is just coming into its own. I believe I may be getting in on the ground floor of something big. In the meantime it will be a while before I can tell how big this will be.

RE: Wife is Looking for Job - konadave - 04-12-2009

Just a quick update to this. She was called back again by the County to take yet another test. Instead of being with 100 or more people there were only the top 20 this time. They said she would be notified in a week of the results of the test which are supposed to then qualify her for an interview if she is in the top 5 or so. It has been over a week now and she still has not heard anything. [Sad]

Well, my wife got her rejection letter yesterday. She was not in the top 10.

Maybe she was but she didn't have the "connection" or she was too pale! [Wink]

Sorry to hear that Dave. Tell her to keep that chin up and keep on plugging along. At least you have a decent job. Many families are "doubly" unemployed in our country.

Maybe the best suggestion, after the tip on the census, is here:
