Richardson Beach in Hilo is easy in and out, and good snorkeling, lifeguard, shower & bathroom. Turtles usually out sunning.

Since the Wai Opae neighborhood is so welcoming (not), I make it a point to blast my radio, rev my engine, leave my trash and sneer at the residents.
