One of the exterminator companies was advertising that they could treat for LFA. I think it was Akamai Pest Solutions.

So...are pets attracted to the amdro bait in the house? Are they affected by the tango spray? I really need to get on these LFAs but am also worried about my dog & cat.

Not sure about the Amdro.
But, the bait stations come in a small plastic container with a small hole [~1/4" dia?] hole in the top.
Unless they chew on it, it should be hard for them to get to.
My understanding is that the Tango has very low [read as almost no] toxicity for mammals.
Two of the ingredients, corn oil and peanut butter, might attract pets.
It can be applied to crops up until harvest.
I still wouldn't make a milkshake out of it, though.
To be sure, contact the people at the Ant Lab, call or go visit.
They can tell you all you need to know.
The control of LFAs is the reason they exist.
It's their job.
They're more than happy to advise.

Bayer Advanced insect killer works great for outdoor applications. We generally use it around the house site and it takes care of flies as well as the ants. No foul odors during aplication and it works in minutes. We've had a small invasion of LFA in one area of the grounds not yet treated but I intend to treat it soon. The concentrate form is the best value and typically last us a couple years or so.

Anyone use the local company KFA? (Kill Fire Ants)
I heard that they use a combination of 2 things. I think they are using Tango but also something else that sterilizes them? The problem with amdro is that when the next batch of eggs hatch the ants come back.
