In Puna...complete strangers bring ice to your front gate during extended power outages.

I'm with Peter on this one: didn't think it was possible, but I love Puna even more than I did before the storm.

In Puna.. bees wont just sting you, they will eat your house. (I know, they are eating mine)

In Puna - if bees are eating your house, call Royall - the bee man (are these the big black carpenter bees, or honeybees, as I think Royall only deals with the latter...)

In Puna, no shirt no shoes means 'no service' .. doesn't apply

Carey, they are the carpenter bees. I have sprayed most of their holes. Ill fill them and then put a polyurethane over the siding, so should do the trick. There were literally dozens of holes in my house, many of them active. Most of them are dead now, but after I sprayed them I realized the poison was pouring down my roof and into my gutters and into my catchment. I don't drink my catchment water but do boil food and give the dogs water from there. How long till you think its safe ? Im guessing a month should be good..

Look at the dilution rate on the label of the stuff you used, along with the antidote instructs, and do the math. It may be worse than you think if the stuff was "pouring"down the roof and gutters as you described.
