They are waiting on parts that "should" be here today.
It's amazing how many seemingly important operations simply don't bother to keep spares on-hand. Wasn't the Department of Water Supply "waiting for parts" just last week? Parts that have to be shipped in from the mainland, of course...

Back in the 80's I stayed in American Samoa for a month or two. Stores regularly ran out of everything. Right before the cargo ship docked in Pago Pago Harbor, the grocery store shelves were almost bare. But there was plenty of fruit in the mountains, fish and lobster in the sea.
One time I asked a resident, "have you ever run out of beer on the island?"
He found this quite amusing. "Oh no, never," he replied, "we would air freight that in!"
Just like Hawaii, some necessities take priority.

We seem to have lost our CBS (45) reception a few days ago. We still get reception on 45 but it is now NBC. I've rescanned for channels but still don't get CBS anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, same here. They switched at the weekend just as I was hoping to watch the Pats vs the Colts. They've done this before.
They were having their usual technical problems with CBS/KGMB just before the switch, so think this may be behind the change. My guess is that in a few weeks it'll suddenly switch back to CBS and if questioned nothing was wrong and it was due to some trees in the way and not their fault.
