I had never heard that, then again, I have seen that it doesn't make financial sense in the long run, with current laws, to do a composting toilet. Cost of a septic system? - Tink - 01-30-2017 I believe the catchphrase with the Building Department, or the Health Department is that he may be a vegan, but he could sell his house later to somebody that is not. Also to consider on that note, he may be building a one bedroom, but he could sell it to somebody who wants to add on a few bedrooms, therefore, they may require a minimum size septic system.
