RE: Leilani residents give council an earful - ironyak - 08-09-2018 Looks like County got their video of the residents' testimony posted before Big Island Video News. Watch: http://hawaiicounty.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=1&clip_id=1150 Download: http://archive-media.granicus.com:443/OnDemand/hawaiicounty/hawaiicounty_9519d6fc-7611-420f-88f8-3ffc5e255f47.mp4 ETA: BIVN has their version up as well now http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2018/08/09/video-puna-residents-impacted-by-eruption-deliver-emotional-testimony/ RE: Leilani residents give council an earful - 1voyager1 - 08-09-2018 I have uploaded the County Council's video to YouTube. It is here: https://youtu.be/oG_zcmzAhJw It is 4 hours long. Not all speakers are Leilani Residents and are speaking on other subjects. The mayor's rebuttal begins about 02:16:00. EDIT: I've got other things to do right now. But, I am thinking of editing this down to just those things directly connected to the lava flow. RE: Leilani residents give council an earful - ironyak - 08-09-2018 I would add that Eileen Ohara's discussion beginning at 3h18m is worth focusing on as well. Her criticism of the DOCARE citations and the fact that she was told by the president of HELCO directly that they were denied entry east of Pomokai in order to maintain service there seems pretty direct. |
