Frankie - did you ever find out what happened? I've never seen a message thread hijacked so inappropriately. Got me curious as to what happened. I think if it was a shootout or a domestic - it would have definitely been on the news.
An aside - but you can get a police scanner from radio shack. My Dad has one. can find out all kinds of stuff.

For those who were concerned about my asking about a shooting in Nanawale on Saturday evening, police told me there was an accident in which a car hit an utility pole, tripping the transformer which gave loud pops. The car overturned, and the occupant apparently couldn't be removed until Helco came out and turned off the electricity (which apparently took some time).
I'm so glad it wasn't a shooting...and thanks to those who were also concerned.

@Dick - nature of the beast. Human disocurse and all that. Honestly, I think it would be a bore if everyone were the same and agreed on everything. Look at the outcome. Very positive.
Many complain about the off topic, the attacking, or frivilous posts, but doesn't that make PW intersting?
