Offhand look at Papaya Farms road & Gov't road; Papaya farms road is about 30 feet south of where it is supposed to be. More could be found; that was just a quickie. A consistency check would indicate many many more properties with inconsistent physical descriptions. Most of the ag zoned ones, possibly.

organize for mandatory fees ??? suicide . before that happens a serious check and balance system has to be in place for financial accountability. like an independent firm . not what exists now.
and like matt i pay plenty taxes, to much taxes

many people do not want mandatory fees , and some people want them so to take up the cause it would bring a Frankenstein mob after you .

Last time I saw them, the survey results showed about 1/3 for mandatory, 1/3 for voluntary, and 1/3 were undecided.
I honestly thought you would be supportive of mandatory, since you are against harc collecting voluntary. What do you advocate? Getting the county to take the roads (Im not sure they want them...)? Or just letting nature have its way? No malice here, just honestly curious. There might be options I'm not aware of....

I can't support mandatory fees given how that money tends to be managed.
Look no further than HPP: an endless parade of volunteer boards, each overthrowing the last, looking to gain control of the millions of dollars in mandatory fees. (Lately I wonder if they actually do anything other than argue about who will manage the money.)
Getting the county to take the roads
County is prohibited from accepting ownership of the roads, by the very Code which required the developers to pave those same roads -- remember: "Rules are for Everyone."

the county is not going to take the roads , they cant and even if they could they can not afford to do so . i would not advocate for mandatory fees unless the way the money was handled changed. that means a private business management firm would handle the money and contractors would be used that were insured and i would hope licensed . i would definitely stop using jim dee for gravel and change to sandfords or another company . strictly business , no buddies , not friends .

Kind of a catch 22 then. We wouldn't be able to afford a management company unless we already had mandatory dues. This is the problem we coming up against. No one wants to foot the bill until major improvements are done (can't blame them). But major improvements can't be done until someone foots the bill. The kind of situation you'd like to see (and wouldn't we all) is only possible if there's enough funds to pay for it.
