I have never seen a canine in Island Naturals.

"I have never seen a canine in Island Naturals."

Neither have I, although I have seen many dogs parked out front. Walmart is actually where I have seen the most dubious "service" dogs, purse dogs, and just plain 'go everywhere with their human" dogs.

[[[[[[......I've noticed quite a few posters making references to "strange" people who apparently favor Island Naturals in Pahoa for their shopping. C'mon, now, you folks who write these comments have some explaining to do, please.........]]]]]

That would be referring to the odd looking fellow in a suit, shoes, and a short haircut.

The people in the tie dye, or naked, beating their drums and adorned with feathers, are what is normal. Once there are enough of them, they don't qualify as "strange".

You ****a neva see da hate yet!
****in assholes try misinterpreting words you don't even understand, misinterpret my sentiments, call my judgments hateful while simultaneously ignoring your own judgments? Worry about trying to fit in instead of just being yourself?

Call me what you will, as I said before, actions speak louder than words. Sure I can be an asshole from time to time. Who doesn't catch a case of the ass now and then?

That said, what we dislike about others are usually things we dislike about ourselves.

To reiterate, you haven't seen hate yet... I wish you no ill will, Oneself, and I apologize if I offended you, but don't take kindness for weakness, or you might be sorely mistaken.

I also apologize to the rest of the forum for side-tracking this topic, but I figured that people watching at grocery stores was relevant.

Don't have personal pride in your appearance or standards at all. Being PC is the only thing that matters. Kumbaya and all that ****. Worse if you're white man. I was tracking the point. You were just attacked. Sometimes, I think the 'high road' is speaking your piece, and sometimes, that includes telling those PC slaves to go **** themselves. Sometimes you might get your ass whipped. Doesn't mean you were wrong.

Punatalk topic derailed... We loved all the diversity of people in the Hilo to Kalapana areas! We loved the older hippies, the younger hippies - I guess called Hipsters & their Djembe drums LOVED those drums Wink Loved the Hawaiians, Asians and White folks from all parts of the world that either lived, moved there or were visiting. We appreciated everything about every experience!

Oregon Woodsmoke,
We were checking out at J. Hara's one day a few years ago and the guy in front of us in the suit, tie, white shirt, and lace up shoes really stood out, but he was talking story with the cashier like an old timer. It all made sense when she asked him "Closing with mainland buyers today?" His reply, "Yeah, I can't wait to hit my office and get back into slippers and shorts." The only people we see anywhere in suits seem to be tied to the legal profession or real estate people with mainland closings. Suits really stick out here, so do pencil skirts and high heals.
