RE: Puna Driving Tips - Kapoho Joe - 04-30-2018 The roundabout does not have a stop sign associated with it. RE: Puna Driving Tips - EightFingers - 04-30-2018 Didn’t Hawaii change to the triangular-shaped stop signs a few years back? I’m confused because the signs have the word “stop” spelled funny.... RE: Puna Driving Tips - My 2 cents - 04-30-2018 Yeah, they changed the color too. RE: Puna Driving Tips - Guest - 04-30-2018 No need to stop or even look right when pulling onto the highway. Its a one way road right ? RE: Puna Driving Tips - randomq - 04-30-2018 Alternate rules apply in lower Puna: - When you *see* a hot hippie chick (or dude) slow down to check them out. - When you *smell* a hot hippie chick (or dude) speed away as fast as possible. RE: Puna Driving Tips - Elkad - 05-01-2018 As a mainlander who visits often. There are no stop signs in the roundabout, and no reason to be doing anything less than 25mph in it. Slower traffic using the left lane on 130 doesn't actually bother me. They all appear to be timid as well, so it's easy to duck in and out of their lane to get around cars slowing to actually make a right turn. When merging S of Keaau, use both lanes until the end, it is the most efficient traffic flow. Or don't, and let me sail to the front in the right lane. Please use Waze, so everyone knows where the bluelights are, and when to just give up and stop for a snack because the road isn't moving anyway. RE: Puna Driving Tips - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 05-01-2018 Please use Waze, so everyone knows where the bluelights are Blue lights? You're worried about Hawaii County blue lights? With location services activated in my phone, I'd really have something to worry about, algorithms, the New World Order, and agents from the Deep State. No thank you. I'm silent running. Portion of Hawaii’s drinking water that comes from underground wells : 9/10 Gallons of raw sewage that leak into the ground from Hawaii cesspools each day : 53,000,000 - Harper's Index RE: Puna Driving Tips - kalianna - 05-01-2018 Sure, use Waze so you can create traffic on residential streets because you're in such a hurry you don't care about disrupting quiet neighborhoods to get where you're going. This ain't the mainland. RE: Puna Driving Tips - kalakoa - 05-01-2018 can get by on the right shoulder Illegal to drive in shoulder. use Waze so you can create traffic on residential streets Waze is only relevant where alternative routes exist. |
