RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-16-2019 if it has a self-defense use one of the political parties will eventually try to ban it Let’s nip that in the bud! I’d like to announce the formation of the HFA, Hawaii Flashlight Association. As President of the Puna Branch I’ll be glad to personally collect your yearly dues, preferably paid by credit card with auto renewal, although cash is acceptable as well. In return you’ll receive your laminated membership card, a small pamphlet listing all the groups you should fear, various scapegoats, and the invisible Bogeymen coming for your lumens. Bumper stickers also available for a $20 donation (minimum) with our organizations motto: So Bright It’ll Warm Your Cold Dead Hands RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - kalakoa - 04-16-2019 the HFA, Hawaii Flashlight Association Will the HFA comply with HFR (Hawaii Flashlight Rule) regulations? Am I required to register, and pay a fee? RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - alaskyn66 - 04-16-2019 I missed the last HFR meeting... but my understanding is that the County was going to implement a study on the probability of having a certification process. RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-16-2019 Am I required to register, and pay a fee? Yes, yes, and we also offer classroom instruction and field training in proper use & safety for your flashlight: 10 Hours - Bioluminescent Algae Level 50 Hours - Firefly Level 100 Hours - Tunguska Meteor Level Targets, jacket patches, and class materials as always, extra. RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - kalakoa - 04-16-2019 a study on the probability of having a certification process Is it wise to rush into a study without some "listening sessions" first? RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - TomK - 04-16-2019 Sorry to spoil the fun! Terracore - I went with Kander's suggestion: https://www.ebay.com/itm/4Pcs-Panasonic-NCR18650B-3400mAh-High-Drain-Flat-Top-Rechargeable-Battery/233185052157 and also went with Kander's suggestion for a charger: https://www.ebay.com/itm/SoShine-SC-H4-LCD-Universal-charger-for-26650-18650-16340-14500-AA-AAA-C-battery/153042157269 The charger hasn't arrived yet but did have a cheap one already that could charge these batteries. RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - terracore - 04-17-2019 Is the HFA Hq required to have a urinal? RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - TomK - 04-17-2019 Only having a urinal available is clearly discriminatory. I fully understand a male invader, suddenly shocked and blinded by the home-owner's bright light, might have an immediate need to urinate, but this clearly discriminates against female invaders. RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - terracore - 04-30-2019 quote: Best advice I've read in awhile. I bought a similar charger to one you recommended, and the cheap eBay batteries I got only rated at 1000mAh, not the 5000 advertised. I bought some Panasonics that the seller claims they test for rated value. Thanks again! The cheapos still have their place for backups and I'm looking forward at charging/testing some others that I have to gauge the rip-off value. Edited to reflect more accurate testing results on the cheap batteries. RE: ? Laser Light Beams Over Lower HPP ? - TomK - 04-30-2019 Thanks, terracore. Please let us know the results of any tests you do. I'm still waiting for my charger to arrive but did notice Kander's suggested batteries produced a brighter beam than the cheaper batteries I bought. |
