RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - Punatang - 09-02-2026 You make it sound like ole Josh issued a no bid contract to one of his boomer donor buddies It's in the works! Telegraph/normalization propaganda process has commenced. I'm glad we agree on the problem. That is step #1, Julangatanga. ![]() https://www.hawaiipublicradio.org/local-news/2026-04-06/jera-wants-to-bypass-the-competitive-bidding-process-what-is-that-exactly JERA wants to bypass the competitive bidding process. What is that exactly? Hawaiʻi Public Radio | By Savannah Harriman-PotePublished April 6, 2026 at 12:51 PM HST The Japanese energy company JERA wants to build a natural gas plant on Oʻahu that could supply more than a third of the island's electricity demand. Normally, a new energy project of this scale would have to go through a competitive bidding process. Hawaiian Electric would put out a request for a proposal, get a bunch of bids from different developers, and then choose the one that best meets the utility and the ratepayers' needs in terms of costs and reliability. But Erik Montague, the vice president of development at JERA Americas, told HPR that its natural gas plant isn't suited for that framework. "We would propose that this is all done under a regulated framework, but a little bit different than maybe how power is currently procured today in Hawaiʻi," he said. More at link... Keiki! The corruption will continue until morale improves! RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - HiloJulie - 09-02-2026 The corruption will continue until morale improves! Actively pursuing and subsequently being denied an exemption of a no bid contract is completely different than some government entity just handing out a blank check no bid contract. I also don't think the proposed JERA Power Plant would fall down in sheets a week after it opens. At any event Tangy, they ARE out to get you. A little here, a little there, maybe not today, but someday. And then, it will all just be a bad memory put on display! Board of Land and Natural Resources rejects proposed rules for aquarium fish collection, keeping current ban in place : Big Island Now RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - kalianna - 09-03-2026 Weʻre well into the domain of the Bicker Board here. RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - Punatang - 09-03-2026 Juliesky Dreamed: Actively pursuing and subsequently being denied an exemption of a no bid contract is completely different [ than what my Blue sky propaganda feed has pumped into my selectively outraged head about National Politics] That is all part of the program Jules. Have you been paying any attention, at all? Only noticing things from one "side". A denial or two is just the process to make the ultimate corruption have a thin veil of propriety which is all that is needed to fly over the heads of the BS gang. There is no time for JERA to get this all approved, build it, and operate it for long enough to be profitable unless: A) Josh and Mark are lying about how long past 2045 (let's get real here) this thing is going to be burning fossil fuel and boiling the ocean water with heat and carbon and pollution and things, in our beautiful Hawaii. B) The no bid process eventually slides past the half asleep populace who has skimmed the"applications" and the "denials" in the headlines enough times to think it (something) already happened so "it's OK". Hey Lau Lau, it's time for our show. C) All of the above. Put your money on C. RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - HiloJulie - 09-03-2026 Well, BreitTangyBart, all I have left to say is that I think you're Nothing But A Dreamer: RE: Governor Josh Green, JERA, LNG, and The Money Trail - MyManao - 09-03-2026 (09-03-2026, 05:41 PM)HiloJulie Wrote: all I have left to say..
