The only reason I brought up konadave is because The Lack named several of his buddies on this thread in the same post that he criticized another member (Mauka) for hiding behind alais. I was just pointing out The Lack being hypocritical.
Nothing to do with konadave, everything to do with The Lack calling out Mauka when The Lack's own buddies hide behind alias and he doesn't call them out. He names Dave and Mark as his buddies in this thread and they both have aliases. Why does The Lack tolerate this from them? That's my point.

I don't allow multiple accounts in any of my forums. It makes it too difficult to moderate the forum properly if everyone has more than one account. I don't know what Rob's rule is about it tho. Maybe he can (or someone who knows) chime in hear and let me know.
For that reason, there is a lot of stability and continuity in a screen name persona. I feel that I do know who I am speaking with just as much if the name is Mauka or the name is Dave Smith or Will Robinson for that matter. My full last name isn't part of my nick here, but that has never prevented anyone from taking me to task when they don't like what I say.
I challenged Tom's comment because Mauka of Punaweb has no history of changing nics and Tom was accusing him, if I understand the post, of saying that he is leaving Punaweb forever when he (Mauka) will likely (according to Tom) sign up and post under a new name.
Whether Rob's software would catch the IP duplication I don't know, but what I was calling Tom on is having no basis for ascribing that behavior to someone who has always posted under the same name.
Of course it all gets more tangled in that Punaweb Mauka never said he was leaving. That was mauka (small M) who commented on Tom's blog and is most likely someone else lifting the handle to attack John Rabi and others -- which I do find low and despicable, to shift the blame for one's own attack to someone else by way of impersonation.

Let me start out by saying that I hardly know the lack nor do I hardly know John Rabi. To say they are my buddies is pretty offbase. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. First I have only met Tom Lackey twice in my life and have never said much more than "Hi, nice to meet you" to his face. And John and his wife took myself and my wife out to lunch once about 4 or 5 years ago. That is all I know about either of these two people. I know John a little because we e-mail each other occasionally but really that is it. So don't link me with a some NAZI site or whatever you are talking about. Considering I was born to Jewish parents that is pretty offensive and insulting.
I always use my first name in my user name. And I post my personal websites in all of my posts. And I don't hide my full name, address and phone number anywhere on the Internet. All you have to do is look it up yourself. So it is pretty insane that you accuse me of hiding behind my user name. I invite all here who reads this to call me and I will be happy to discuss any of this with any of you in a civil manner. It looks like your being a hypocrite with that comment while you call yourself Orchidlandguy. Which part of your alias is your real name? Weird.
I also want to say to all of you to look up all of my ~150 posts here on the PunaWeb. Actually I dare you to do so. What you will find is mostly just regular participation in pretty mundane threads. I did participate in the Racist attack thread towards The Lack started by Mauka and I participated in the attack thread on John Rabi started by Hawaiideborah. I did so for one reason and one reason only. To defend whoever it was that was being attacked. I did this for The Lack and I did this for John Rabi. And let me say I will do the same for you Orchidlandguy. And I will do the same for Mauka and Hawaiideborah. If someone starts an attack thread about you or her or Mauka I will come to your defense. I harbor no ill feelings towards anyone here. Never have, never will. If you really think I am a bully don't you think I would be attacking these people in threads other than the attack threads that they themselves started? Search my posts here. You will see what I am saying to be the truth and what you are saying to not be true. I admit that I may have said a few things to the attacker that they feel they didn't deserve, but what do they expect when they start an attack on someone else? Love and acceptance? They started it!!!! What don't you get about that? THEY ARE THE BULLY, NOT ME!
Once you search all the posts I have made here you will see there is absolutely no history of bullying anyone anywhere, anytime, period. Don't you think it is kind of weird that with no past history of any bullying and any ill willed posts that there was something different about these two posts? The common thread is that they attacked someone an I defended them. Noting more, nothing less.
This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard! Me bully someone? Bring forth the proof that I said anything ill willed towards anyone in any thread other than the two I just mentioned. The fact is you won't be able to. In 5 years of participation here you won't be able to find one ill willed word towards anyone except the two attackers that started the threads I mentioned. Does not seem like I am much of a bully now does it?
If defending someone who is being attacked by facing up to the attacker is bullying then I guess I am guilty. But I certainly don't define my defense of another as bullying someone.
I really think you should look at the whole picture before go mouthing off about things you know nothing about.

get a grip, I did not link you to a NAZI web site. That is a link on John Rabi's signature on every post. Maybe you should look at how many times you side with him and defend him. His posts all end with a NAZI link.
You also apparently are a co-moderator of another bolg with pretty racy comments in the one section. Think it is kona blog?

Thank you for standing up for me. I appreciate it. Just so we are on the same page here I have met Tom at a couple of meetings at the Hilo Pizza Place. We never said anything more to each other than a mutual greeting. And thank you for noticing that I spent about an hour fighting with this old software to change my sig just to make it a little better for someone else. Who BTW never even said "Thank you".
I would suggest though that you not defend anyone around here tho. You will be instantly grouped as a "Bully" and you and I will become instant "Buddies" [

Orchidlandguy - If you had a clue, you would understand why John Rabi has put that link to the Nazi web site. He isn't advocating Nazi anything - it's his opinion of the Kona Board of Realtors. I think it is funny, aka A JOKE. It is called free speech.

I am the owner of the Kona Forum not the "kona blog". John asked me if he could have a forum in which he moderates doing restaurant reviews. I felt it was a good idea and so he is the moderator of that forum. And yes I do have an "Adult" section of the forum so adults can write "racy comments" and children won't be able to see them. I asked John if he would help me moderate that forum and he agreed. Would you like to explain to all the good people here why you even brought this up? What does this have to do with all the untruths you said about me?

My name was already revealed and has been revealed since the day I started post here. My name is as transparent here as just about anyone. Everyone who has been on the Internet for any amount of time knows web addresses are leased by people and they have a choice of hiding or allowing their names, addresses and phone numbers to be shown. Why would I want to make the person calling me out to look like an idiot? All they have to do is go to www.whois.net and put in any of my websites I prominently place in every post and they will know my full name, address and phone number. It is not my intention to make anyone look like an idiot. So I decided not to do so.

Well then all I can say is that you don't care about the truth. The truth of what I said in my previous post is revealed in my past posts and my present posts. Without knowing the whole truth you cannot see the whole truth. You are only looking at a very narrow piece of the entire picture. And you have decided that the whole truth is not important to you here. That is a shame as it shows you only have a narrow outlook on things.

Absolutely correct! You make my point for me. The title of his post, which BTW sets the tone for the thread he started, is "Dirsturbing, Racist Post". He says it right there that the post he is referring to is racist. Mauka never said in his postings that The Lack was NOT a racist. So logic dictates that the "Racist Post" has to be written by a racist. Otherwise it would mean the the lack didn't mean what he wrote. That is the only way that a post can be racist and not acuse the author of not being racist. When you say something is racist then it can only be written by someone who meant what they wrote. Mauka made his case that he felt that the lack meant what he wrote. Which can only be taken one way and that makes the lack a racist.
