When I confronted them and asked if they had a warrant they said "no, but it's ok because you don't have any plants". Did you sue for violation of your civil rights? It's expensive to fight legal battles, and most people have neither the money nor the time these days. I think we need a new framework for citizens to fight back. The cool thing about us living in a remote rural county is if we figure out that framework, we could organize and start fixing things, at least at the local level. Local officials seem to be a lot more scared of protests, lawyers, and legal threats than state and federal. Unless there’s overtime. RE: AlohaSafe Alert COVID Tracker - TomK - 02-28-2021 (02-27-2021, 06:12 PM)randomq Wrote: TomK, I'll see you at our sovereign citizen militia meeting this evening. Of course not. For the reasons you stated and a couple more. RE: AlohaSafe Alert COVID Tracker - Durian Fiend - 02-28-2021 Here are the other states doing this exposure notification via phone. That's a lot of data to feed back to a third-party that you might not know much about. You might not be able to do much about the use of these tracking pixels, but you can take steps to stop them from functioning, and to see which messages include them—so you know which people and which companies are taking a particular interest in you, and you can choose who to allow and who not to. https://www.wired.com/story/how-to-tell-which-emails-track-you/ RE: AlohaSafe Alert COVID Tracker - kalakoa - 03-07-2021 There's a setting to disable "fetch all the links in this email". There's also not using a browser to read email in the first place. RE: AlohaSafe Alert COVID Tracker - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 03-07-2021 There's also not using a browser to read email in the first place. I used an email program some years ago for contacting customers (MailChimp? I can’t remember for certain). One of the features allowed me to see which recipients opened the email and presumably read it. It worked with browsers or dedicated email programs. |
