RE: New Baby Lambs - Radiopeg - 11-03-2010 I am one who had the pleasure of seeing the babies. The tricolor ones reminded me of Kona mud Pie ice cream, or something else yummy, not related to lamb chops. They were so cute. We also got the house tour. Just lovely. That has to sum it all up. Thanks, Pam. [quote]Originally posted by pslamont So... our little Buster spent his first night out in the stable with the other sheep. He appears to have done very well. Had several people up looking at the sheep and their babies. Life goes on, with you or without you. RE: New Baby Lambs - pslamont - 11-05-2010 Took a couple lambs today to the Volcano School after school program. Kids had a ball holding and petting and even trying to bottle feed them. Only Buster was cooperative. The other, bigger older and less handled, didn't settle down for about 20 minutes but he did calm down. They are just so much fun! RE: New Baby Lambs - pslamont - 11-14-2010 Have a friend visiting who very generously assisted me and now..... ta daaaaa..... lambs are all castrated or docked as appropriate. Long day working but so worth it. Thank you John. We did leave three males intact... one of whom is already sold. Sold three the other day; very surprised but hey.... gotta share the wealth! Our little Buster did not like having his parts banded and won't come to me to eat. I guess if I did that to YOU, you wouldn't come near me for a while either. LOL Still, all seems well. RE: New Baby Lambs - pslamont - 11-15-2010 Picked up our first load of butchered lamb from Kulana foods today. Looking very good. Things do come together eventually if you let them. Guess it wasn't meant for us to slaughter this last lamb of the season. Next summer we will have lots!! Wooo hoooo I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says "Oh Crap, She's up!" |
