RE: Attention!!! - liskir - 11-30-2011

Am I understanding it right that I would just show up at a polling site on March 13, 2012 from 6-8PM, show my ID and fill out a HI Rep. party card? I thought we had to register as a Rep. prior to this?

RE: Attention!!! - Guest - 11-30-2011

they say you can register on the spot, even your hawaii voter registration can be done on the spot. However, and this is a big HOWEVER; Last time there was a lot of shenanigans in keeping Ron Paul supporters from voting, so I recommend registering ahead of time, the link is on the site.

Why our President will win re-election in 2012.

Barack Obama:
• Removed Bush era restrictions on embryonic stem-cell research (2009)

• Expanded the SCHIP program to cover health care for 4 million more children (2009)

• Historic healthcare reform bill signed – $940 billion over 10 years (2010)* Note: 32 million additional Americans will receive healthcare coverage and costs will be lowered for most Americans

• Began the phased withdrawal of US troops from Iraq (2009); continuing the withdrawal (2010); most U.S. troop to be out of Iraq end of(2012).

• Removal of Bush era terrorist Osama bin laden.

• End of Don't ask Don't tell.

Thank you President Obama! There are a lot of people who back you 100%. Stay strong!

uneedawish,

"• Removal of Bush era terrorist Osama bin laden."

Bin Laden was on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings.

Just sayin,Bush was not prez in 1998!!

RE: Attention!!! - Guest - 11-30-2011

since there will not be a democratic primary in Hawaii, not much point in talking about national politics.

RE: Attention!!! - uneedawish - 11-30-2011

DUH!

Just saying,

Bush had 7 years to get Osama bin Laden and couldn't.

This post isn't for your pointless Republican caucus.

If you know nothing about Ron Paul other than he's running on the Republican platform, you should do your research and vote the person, not the party.

1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject war as a solution. 3. Defend civil liberties. 4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, etc.

It always baffles me how people are able to keep such contradictory beliefs in their heads. Your #4 particularly contrasts with being a Ron Paul supporter, since he thinks the Civil Rights Act is unconstitutional. In case you're not aware of what a diehard right-wing nut he is:

RE: Attention!!! - Guest - 11-30-2011

I would consider it a non-issue today since we have much more important issues to deal with. However, Dr. Paul thinks the civil rights act is unconstitutional because the Federal government dictates what people can do with their private property and contracts. I am guessing what you are trying to suggest is that Ron Paul is somehow a racist because he thinks that legislation is unconstitutional, for that I will let the good Dr. speak for himself:
“Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than individuals . . . By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called “diversity” actually perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racists . . . we should understand that racism will endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups and begin thinking in terms of individual liberty.”

Many of Ron Paul's supporters disagree with Dr. Paul on many issues. However, the core challenges that many feel must be addressed, are the issues Ron Paul will deliver on.

We can have endless war, economic and national decline or we can have peace and a change to undo the damage done to our country by Reagan's bank deregulation, Clinton's deindustrialization policy and endless wars for empire and corporate profit.

Want more money for Puna? End the economic drain of endless wars and a corrupt and bloated Federal government.
