RE: HPP Biz - Kenney - 11-16-2017 Oh no, not again. Increased road fees? For what? Nothing's been done to even Maintain the roads, much less improve them. The ONLY thing the BOD is tasked with is REPRESENTING the owners and maintaining the roads, yet the roads are mush and our votes are being ignored by all but 2 Board Members! I recently heard somebody say that most volunteers do so out of noble intention. Then, as power is amassed by the person in their new position, their noble intention is changed to a desire for personal power over others. This is what I usually see here with our BOD, Managers and often Office Staff. Those few who actually do have noble intentions are squashed by the majority who want to rule us with an iron fist. You know who you are, those of you who don't REPRESENT us but berate, insult, lie to the Membership all the while taking our money and giving us nothing but grief. Shame on you. RE: HPP Biz - kalakoa - 11-17-2017 Old reps mentioned they don't have to do what the membership wants. This. Increased road fees? For what? Nothing's been done Sounds like the "problem" is that they're still referred to as "road" fees, even though "roads" is the last thing they're spent on. RE: HPP Biz - mermaid53 - 11-17-2017 In ref to the Feb membership mtg DTisme said: Lots of interesting votes were passed including Lack of Confidence in GM. Group is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HPPnextDoor/ If you live in HPP and are not a member of this group, you are missing some vital info. It's a very civil group with over 1300 members. I am not knocking this FB one iota, and it just so happens to be the one Obie posted the link to here on PT. What I don't like is that this FB has become a haven for former board reps (Yes, there is one on PT as well) and old current reps who are so nasty. They are circling their wagons people. Their behavior proves it. They feel threatened and are afraid of the crap they participated in that's been going on and coming to the surface. Two former board members who moved away are still posting there and "watching". Larzalere sold her house didn't she? It has all the markings of people who are scared. Now throw into the mix the forensic analysis that the membership voted for unanimously. Recently ****** and Craig Crelly went to the board and made a serious allegation that "I said that I have exec session mtg minutes in my possession" during my owner input at the Jul 2017 board mtg. He again made the allegation at the Nov board mtg. I think the Crellys need to have their hearing checked as I said no such thing and an audio recording of the mtg would prove it. The board has seen me and dismissed the allegation. The Crellys wasted all of our time. Creepy and twisted is that the Crellys stood in front of the library door to watch me go into the exec session mtg and then were waiting outside in their car in the dark parking lot when I existed 25 min later. My gut told me to ask one of the board members to accompany me to my car but I thought, nah the Crellys wouldn't stoop this low. The motion light went on and ***** Crelly was staring at me w/a big smile on her face..sort of like one of those scary clowns. It made me think of those people we hear about that maliciously light a fire and stand on the sidelines to observe and enjoy the chaos they created. The Crelly's friends, former board reps Randi Larzalere and Jo Maynard, perpetuated the Crellys lies on HPP FB Next Door. I made copies of their posts before the administrator yanked it, bc this is defamation. Coincidentally the Crellys allegation is intertwined w/info I have on the illegal ousting of a board rep in Mar 2017 while Leilani Crelly was a rep. This former rep told me there was a secret mtg after the Feb board and exec session mtg (which he attended), and before the Mar board mtg he was notified by email that he'd been removed. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the decision was made outside of a "legal" mtg, which is against our bylaws and state law. 4 of those reps are still currently seated on the board. RE: HPP Biz - DTisme - 11-17-2017 I still think residents should join the HPP Next Door group. Yes, you see biased comments, as you do here, but at least you can see who's saying what and have better idea of what's going on than just punaweb alone. It's clear to me who is who and where they stand. And, as you say, watch them circle the wagons. The more sites with HPP news and info, the better. Note Leslie Blyth posts there that board members are told not to communicate via social media. Clearly Crazy with a capital C. (not Leslie Blyth, the notion that you don't communicate with your constituents via social media. In 2017.) ps-Was District 9 rep not at the meeting? I'd like to know how he voted on road fees. RE: HPP Biz - mermaid53 - 11-17-2017 All board reps were present at the board mtg and the only NO vote was Lori Laucik. I rechecked my notes..only 1 NO vote. She did say during discussion that many people were already angry w/the last 10% increase w/nothing to show for it. We also know that road fee delinquencies are worse than they've ever been, prob for that very reason. All you have to do is drive around in the park and most of the maintained easements were done by lotowners. You can tell by the # of unimproved lots w/buffalo grass 5' high growing next door. L Rd has lost 2-3 ft of lane in some areas forcing drivers in the middle of the road during peak hrs. I'm not sure what you mean about board reps communicating or not, on social media? I've seen some reps posting on FB very recently. A member made a copy of Chris Anderson, Dist 8/Treasurer, inappropriate posts on FB from earlier this year and gave it to the new board to look at. It was read aloud at a board mtg. Most disapproved w/his attitude towards members and what the board did, I don't know since the outcome wasn't discussed at a board mtg. DTisme, Deborah Hillman (PT hawaiideborah) and Randi Larzalere already outed me on FB. Obie/Crelly outed me on PT. For the past 3 yrs, the board has known who mermaid on PT is bc I told them back in 2014, and that info was passed onto every board since. Ofc staff used to check out PT to see "what mermaid posted today", told to me by a former employee. As you can see, I'm hardly "anonymous". P.S. Yes, of course people should join HPP FB Next door. Edited to correct "lane" to "road". RE: HPP Biz - DTisme - 11-17-2017 Thanks, mermaid. No, I wasn't saying YOU were anonymous, wasn't even thinking about you, don't know your real name and not sure it matters to me - I was just saying that we can read names on FB and can recognize board members and ex-board members and what sides they're on. The thng I said about board being told (not sure by who) that they are not supposed to comment or communicate on social media was posted by Ms. Blyth. You'd have to ask her what she meant. I took it to mean exactly what she said. There was a rather long discussion about it with people saying, What?? We want you to communicate with us! They are determined that all input from the public be made only at meetings. I argue that our input on social media is perfectly acceptable as input. If you have a hundred people on FB say they are pissed about road maintenance and only 20 people show up at meetings, those hundred peoples' opinions matter. All communication betw. the board and the public should be open and honest and transparent. RE: HPP Biz - Obie - 11-17-2017 "Obie/Crelly" I'm sorry Mayelin but that is not me. RE: HPP Biz - mermaid53 - 11-17-2017 You certainly spelled my name perfectly the first time you outed me. Crelly, I know you VERY well and hiding behind a name doesn't hide your personality. Remember, I helped you w/your campaign? Hosted your campaign gathering at my house, made phone calls for you, stood on the road side sign waving for you, rode shotgun in your car driving around the community w/you, was an HPP watchdog alongside you....you were the most tenacious HPP watchdog of all. Whatever Leilani...pretend all you like...time for me to move on. RE: HPP Biz - mermaid53 - 11-17-2017 The thng I said about board being told (not sure by who) that they are not supposed to comment or communicate on social media was posted by Ms. Blyth. You'd have to ask her what she meant. I took it to mean exactly what she said. There was a rather long discussion about it with people saying, What?? We want you to communicate with us! If you have a hundred people on FB say they are pissed about road maintenance and only 20 people show up at meetings, those hundred peoples' opinions matter. All communication betw. the board and the public should be open and honest and transparent. I understand and agree w/you. Yes, all communication between the board and the public should be open, honest and transparent. I wholeheartedly agree DTisme. BUT here's the flip side...there are board reps that have NO respect for what the membership votes for at membership mtgs. People who made the effort to attend a meeting, and are present to vote, aren't respected simply bc the numbers aren't great enough to justify representing us, esp when the reps don't agree w/what we want. Sounds whacko right? But that's how it is. Dist 2 Mizuba has publicly stated these things over and over at meetings for the past 3 yrs, and this wk's mtg was no different over the vote to have a forensic analysis. She grumbled that "only 36 out of 8,800 lot owners voted for it". A few reps are already complaining and successfully obstructed a vote to simply approve having a forensic analysis bc the membership voted for it. The details would be decided later after the info came in but they didn't want to vote period. Mizuba undermined the membership the last time we voted requesting the board give us a CS presentation, and allow us to vote for CS or not. She shopped around a petition, set one up in the ofc for the staff to manage and presented the board w/an illegal petition. There's something wrong w/ofc staff undermining membership business. Those reps excluding us from this decision was a big mistake as I believe we would've made a wiser decision than they did bc I know we would've made sure everything was done according to state law, our bylaws and county regulations. Since we were purposely removed from the equation and everything went south, those reps s/b held accountable. The more people voting or speaking up at a meeting is a very positive thing and I can see why Leslie Blyth is encouraging that. We become more than a name w/a TMK# and road fees due. This may be part of the reason some of these reps have forgotten what their job is bc they don't see us. It's not an excuse, BUT it helps when large numbers of members come forward saying they've had enough. This forensic analysis is a MUST and we should NOT allow anyone on the board to thwart this from moving forward. RE: HPP Biz - DTisme - 11-18-2017 Well as I've said before, I will NOT go to meetings. Can't be in groups like that. They will have to rely on letters and petitions for my input. Many others feel the same way. |
