It doesn't matter what the truth is or what conclusions the facts may lead us to surmise. I will leave it to history to come to the most likely conclusions.
A "news" article appeared on yahoo today about the latest statistics about median home prices. We have cemented our position as the top state for this one statistic.

In 2024 it was possible to buy a standing home in Puna for a quarter of a million bucks. The thing no one told us was that same home is nearly impossible to sell due to all the requirements the state has saddled the homeowner with, should the home need to get a new permit. Political leaders like Trump will come and go, but fundamental economic realities will be our downfall.

Anyone providing contradictory proof, or what’s really true, is the problem, is fake, cancelled or fired. And as far as history goes, just rewrite the parts you don't like. Hell, we just found out that it turns out slavery was not all that bad after all. For the slaves even. Great for the economy as well, apparently.

Unless buying an unpermitted home, what permitting does a new home buyer have to go through? And if someone is selling an unpermitted home in Puna for 250K, in my opinion, the person buying that home is the real problem, not the state.
And sorry to say, our downfall will be due to your first sentence. The economic side of it is just the frosting on the cake.
