I thought we got by this a few years ago when that hippy guy killed his girlfriend and punaweb was afire with accusations about the "Hawaiian Mafia" terrorizing white folks in Kalapana.
One of the accused was Ikaika, who later stepped up and did more for this community than the County government......That being said; some here can't get by all of his abandoned junk vehicles......not.

"There was a previous post with a graphic that appeared to inaccurately show TMT on Maunakea. Whatever your opinion is, it is important for it to be informed by facts.
Here is what TMT would *actually* look like from Waimea *with binoculars*: see telescopes already in view. And at least one of the other telescopes visible in locations near Waimea will be removed due to TMT's permit requirements. The telescope will be visible by ~14% of the island -- just the north, not Hilo or Kona or Pahoa -- vs. up to 39% of the island for other telescopes.
There's a ton of other misinformation going around -- something to do with nuclear power, the military, drilling 1000s of feet down, and "the aquifer". All of which have been debunked.
If you are against TMT, fine. Just be honest with yourself that it's about your beliefs on MK's sacredness or Hawaiian sovereignty: not these other made-up reasons.***
***Note also, there are TMT supporters who *do* believe that Maunakea is sacred and *do* believe in Hawaiian sovereignty."

And obviously you are OK with bullying lots of innocent international astronomers and literally destroying their equipment, damage could be in the millions from the inability to get access.
You are obviously Ok literally wasting an enormous amount of tax dollars that should have gone back in the community not paying for law enforcement.
And you are OK working the system in the form of TRO's and other court orders while simultaneously going against a court order from the supreme court. Blatant hypocrisy.

I could care less what race, color, creed, or religion the "protectors" are.
They're selfishly putting their sovereignty struggle ahead of the survival of our species.
Government is standing by and watching it happen. Does it matter what race they are? Am I limited to a single choice or can my hate be color-blind?

Well yes.....I'm OK with it. I'm also a combat veteran who was later OK with protesting the Vietnam war; costing taxpayers millions in law enforcement fees while depriving Dow Chemical and Arms companies billions in profits. Bullying multinational Corporations? Thank you.
