RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - snorkle - 07-27-2019 "TRy driving down to Keaukaha and tell me what you see.Every other yard has junk cars everywhere." -Obie "Maybe while they are all up there, we could stop by their properties and have wreckers haul all of their junk cars up the mauna and block the saddle road so they are trapped up there."- Obie “Fire up a D9 and slowly drive up the road with the blade down !”-Obie Soooo....you're OK with this? RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - snorkle - 07-27-2019 I thought we got by this a few years ago when that hippy guy killed his girlfriend and punaweb was afire with accusations about the "Hawaiian Mafia" terrorizing white folks in Kalapana. One of the accused was Ikaika, who later stepped up and did more for this community than the County government......That being said; some here can't get by all of his abandoned junk vehicles......not. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - Obie - 07-27-2019 You need to put the bong away !! RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - Obie - 07-27-2019 Copy and paste from Facebook . "There was a previous post with a graphic that appeared to inaccurately show TMT on Maunakea. Whatever your opinion is, it is important for it to be informed by facts. Here is what TMT would *actually* look like from Waimea *with binoculars*: see telescopes already in view. And at least one of the other telescopes visible in locations near Waimea will be removed due to TMT's permit requirements. The telescope will be visible by ~14% of the island -- just the north, not Hilo or Kona or Pahoa -- vs. up to 39% of the island for other telescopes. There's a ton of other misinformation going around -- something to do with nuclear power, the military, drilling 1000s of feet down, and "the aquifer". All of which have been debunked. If you are against TMT, fine. Just be honest with yourself that it's about your beliefs on MK's sacredness or Hawaiian sovereignty: not these other made-up reasons.*** ***Note also, there are TMT supporters who *do* believe that Maunakea is sacred and *do* believe in Hawaiian sovereignty." This guy is getting lots of threats over this post. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - Punatic007 - 07-27-2019 quote: And obviously you are OK with bullying lots of innocent international astronomers and literally destroying their equipment, damage could be in the millions from the inability to get access. You are obviously Ok literally wasting an enormous amount of tax dollars that should have gone back in the community not paying for law enforcement. And you are OK working the system in the form of TRO's and other court orders while simultaneously going against a court order from the supreme court. Blatant hypocrisy. And to those of us who expose the hypocrisy and destruction, you in turn project your obvious racism on us? Do you use the word haole much? Seriously? Is that all you got? RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - ironyak - 07-27-2019 snorkle - Soooo....you're OK with this? Ok with Obie spewing nonsense - sure. Same goes for everyone who gets on their high horse and shouts their BS opinion into the online void. Greatest communication technology ever devised and people spend most of their time with it slinging sh!t at one another. What's new? Darwin FTW. But no doubt you demonstrating your moral superiority by pointing out the stupidity, or Obie noting that he didn't start it and "those people" are far worse, will make everyone reconsider their lives and work towards social justice and harmony... RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-27-2019 I could care less what race, color, creed, or religion the "protectors" are. They're selfishly putting their sovereignty struggle ahead of the survival of our species. Government is standing by and watching it happen. Does it matter what race they are? Am I limited to a single choice or can my hate be color-blind? RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-27-2019 https://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2019/07/27/tmt-not-backing-down-supporters-unwavering/ "There should be increasing political pressure on TMT," said Nelson Ho during his testimony to the Hawai'i County Council on Wednesday. "They are the lone decision-makers that could make a difference and not contribute to the violence. Governor Ige cannot do it. Mayor Kim cannot do it. The protectors cannot do it. Only the TMT board of directors can make the decision to walk away, and not have this catastrophic violence visit our island society." At least he wasn't racist, right? RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - snorkle - 07-27-2019 quote: _________________________________________________________________ kalakoa on Hawaiians; #”WeAreUnemployed”- Kalakoa “Rather generous of you to assume that they know how to read and/or can be bothered to do so. Facts are hard, outrage is cheap”- kalakoa “If all the haoles leave, what will the Hawaiians do for money? Are they ready and willing to return to farming, hunting, gathering?”-kalakoa and..."They're selfishly putting their sovereignty struggle ahead of the survival of our species." I'm sorry; No specific mention of race. Mostly just "they". It suggests condescending superiority. You're a Prince. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - snorkle - 07-27-2019 quote: Well yes.....I'm OK with it. I'm also a combat veteran who was later OK with protesting the Vietnam war; costing taxpayers millions in law enforcement fees while depriving Dow Chemical and Arms companies billions in profits. Bullying multinational Corporations? Thank you. |
