RE: Anything Acres - birchl - 06-17-2014 Well I did manage to find acre heads this time so thank you and aloha to everybody there. This site is so easy to follow and post to that now I shall simply have to check in with both. Is that how Internet addiction starts? Lol. So I have another question. I only attended the last meeting in order to find out what was happening about our rock? Without starting another controversy, can anybody tell me what the problem is with re-erecting it? #10048; RE: Anything Acres - Lee M-S - 06-17-2014 I assume the rock is waiting for someone (maybe the board, maybe a helpful resident) to decide to do it, figure out what's needed, get equipment to raise it, mortar or mastic or whatever it needs to attach it, find some friends to help, and get around to doing it. It took me a year to put up a new address sign at my house, so I'm thinking the process could take a while. :-) But that's just my guess. ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> RE: Anything Acres - kalakoa - 06-17-2014 Marking the entrances with a rusty dead truck carcass would be more appropriate. RE: Anything Acres - birchl - 06-17-2014 quote: Lmao. yes I can see your point. There is undoubtedly heavy machinery involved unless we are able to find a direct descendent of kamehameha. I think maybe the board is too caught up in the current 'happenings' to help organize this. I don't really know what to suggest. We can contribute towards labor and maybe concrete but are simply not in the position to hire the equipment to lift it. Kalakoa that was not nice. #10048; RE: Anything Acres - kalakoa - 06-17-2014 Kalakoa that was not nice. No disrespect intended -- more of an inside joke, especially since nobody bothers to remove (either of) them. RE: Anything Acres - birchl - 06-17-2014 That's ok, you are forgiven. Isn't there some sort of free car removal going on now?? I don't know which trucks you are referring to but maybe someone simply has to ask to have them removed?? My aloha to you. #10048; RE: Anything Acres - kalakoa - 06-17-2014 Isn't there some sort of free car removal going on now?? They "can't" do this on "private property" unless the "landowner" grants them "permission". RE: Anything Acres - Mimosa - 06-17-2014 Good job on the adopt a pot hole on One Road . Now just maybe gravel and box scraping from C to D and repair the damaged area near C to D where the pavement is usually underwater and hard to navigate. We like the idea of rusted hulks at the entrances but realize it is an inside joke. Plenty hulks of rusted past rides all over HA and yes, need permission from the lot owner to put entrance rock sign back up at end of S.Kulani . Another beautiful day in HA. RE: Anything Acres - kalakoa - 06-17-2014 yes, need permission from the lot owner to put entrance rock sign back up The segment of "Road A" from 8 to 9 is an Official County Road which was "adopted" through the Roads In Limbo program. As the road easement is 40 feet wide, it would appear that the entrance sign is technically the responsibility of Public Works, especially if it existed at the time the road was adopted. RE: Anything Acres - Lee M-S - 06-17-2014 Is the entrance rock on A down? I know the one on S.Kulani is, didn't hear that both had been knocked over... quote: ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> |
