RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - lavalava - 12-14-2014 Woah. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - snorkle - 12-14-2014 Gosh, Jeff; You opened your car doors and windows to blast your radio to others; then ignored the Rangers instructions to turn it down........Well, yeah, he probably wasn't having a bad day till that happened. Then he kicked you out? I'm dumbfounded. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - lavalava - 12-14-2014 Coffee in my mouth - 0 Coffee on my monitor - 1 Thanks S! RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 12-14-2014 Like a good bartender the ranger understood closing time is variable, depending on the situation and the disposition of the customer. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - bananahead - 12-14-2014 Wow, justread 1st paragraph... no wonder you bashed, you live in SoHilo dist, not Puna... ie have nothing to lose with the bashing... PS the So Hilo dist extends north of Hilo up the Hamakua coast (to Hakalau Bay)... ****************************************************************** save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - Jeffhale - 12-14-2014 quote: dumbfounded, yeah like that's not a no brainer did ya manage to read this: "A fellow who was polite, reasonable, courteous, but direct!" I drew his attention, not intentionally, had no clue anybody cared. However, like I said, the song was almost over, plus, as I also said, there are no sound laws or rules that I could find. I did not say, but the ranger was unable to cite one too. I asked.. . Including, whether there was or not, I'm civil enough to not have to fight a ranger.. He did NOT kick me out, just advised, the same as every other car there at that time, "it's closed at sunset" he approached everybody not just me. .. Nor did he return after advising to turn the radio down.. I turned the radio down after the song was over, not because of a law or rule but as a courtesy. It seemed more apparent, he was out to tell everybody to move on, I just happened to make my car his first target. LOL try and stay on topic and you won't have so many people to fight with! On topic!! WARNING THE DIRT ROAD AT NIGHT UP OR DOWN TO MAUNA KEA IS DANGEROUS !! However, there's always trolls on any board who are looking for a reason to pick, assumed problems.. You're just trolling for trouble,,.. You'd rather listen to lies than fact? Get a life.. My story is a warning,, any idiot who recommends driving that road at night, better get an attorney! As far as Kathy goes, perhaps she did make a mistake regarding rules on that road at night. But,, obviously smart enough to know,, before double checking,, only a fool would recommend it to tourists. . Likely, the same type of fool who would divert the attention of a topic for his/her personal agenda. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - shockwave rider - 12-14-2014 quote: You arrived at a place of great natural beauty being enjoyed by other people and blast your stereo through deliberately opened car doors and windows and you had no clue anyone cared? That is astoundingly clueless. You cite lack of a rule or sound ordinance to justify being rude to everyone around you just because you thought they all should have to hear a song you liked? This is how a 12 year old acts, being courteous shouldn't have to be enforced by regulation. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - snorkle - 12-14-2014 Jeff says; "I drew his attention, not intentionally, had no clue anybody cared. However, like I said, the song was almost over, plus, as I also said, there are no sound laws or rules that I could find." Thank you for explaining your courteous, and totally legal blasting of the radio on top of a sacred place. I stand corrected. RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - lavalava - 12-14-2014 Jeff and Kathy competing for Puna Webs Biggest Loser contest... RE: Punaweb Dysfunctional - snorkle - 12-14-2014 OK, back to the topic; From Trip Adviser; "When visiting the summit, always bring ear protection." |
