Channel 45 switching day to day is a little nuts, it would be sweet for me if it stayed NBC through the Superbowl but generally I would prefer CBS. Does anyone know how to contact the tower operator to find out what's up.

I gave up my previous correspondence as the situation never improved no matter what I was told, but you may have better luck.

If it helps, I believe 45 is a rebroadcast of channel 27 on Maui. So it could be a Maui issue too. Channel 45 is the final part of the chain.

Thanks for the rabbitears map.
That does explain why the signal for 13.1 & 13.2 is so inconsistent here as I'm slightly beyond on the reception boundary shown.
Some days it comes in perfectly though, and for football when the picture frittzes out on a play, I can usually catch the instant replay.

Channel 45 is back to CBS. Looks like no Superbowl tomorrow on OTA. Free streaming though on NBCsports.com

I don't know. IMO, given recent history, it's 50/50 whether channel 45 broadcast NBC or CBS on Sunday. Just don't base your Super Bowl party on channel 45.
Oh, should add it's not really 50/50. There's also the possibility they'll just be completely off-air.

Game day....channel 45 (I just looked) is CBS...... so no Superbowl OTA in Lower Puna areas although my Smartphone streams it beautifully.

Auto Scan your TV for people in Puna using OTA. Two new digital channels are now being broadcast. 45-1 and 45-2 which before was analog with very poor reception are now digital. 45-1 is CBS and 45-2 is "THIS TV". Enjoy
