Dyer http://www.hellophoenix.com/art RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - David D - 08-16-2006 The area was originally cane land and a workers housing/camp area. We bought 8.25 acres of land 3 years ago for a very good price. The land has county water and electricity, which was a big selling point for us. And the way price have gone up the last few years, there is no way we could afford to buy now. If all goes well, we’ll be there permanently in 2 years! Mella mella l RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - Keith - 08-23-2006 Thanks mella l I have traveled to the area,I like the East side for a lot of reasons. I liked was the HSRE because on the location, water, CCR, ect. But if I could find a place that actually had soil, not in a jungle, at 1200 foot now that would be interesting. Keith RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - mella l - 08-23-2006 Well I am in no way an expert, but I'd look in Kurtistown if those were my requirements. mella l RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - Kapohocat - 08-23-2006 quote: Ala Loop is about that elevation isnt it - they have plenty dirt. Or Kurtistown behind J.Hara's - that loop has plenty dirt also although only about 900'Elevation I think..... RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - Kelena - 08-23-2006 Kikala-Keokea Homesteads --anyone know about this place? I understand it is far from Hilo. Commutable? Scary criminals? Any beaches at all close by? Close to Pahoa? RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - Keith - 08-24-2006 What is up in this neck of the woods, My Wife and I would love to grow for the farmers market is it suited for small farm, row crops? Ala Loop is about that elevation isnt it - they have plenty dirt. Or Kurtistown behind J.Hara's - that loop has plenty dirt also although only about 900'Elevation I think..... Keith RE: Your Favorite Subdivision! - waynesb - 08-26-2006 Ala Loop starts at under 900' and the other end is over 1000. Sorry I don't know about soil depth. Are you able to access Google Earth? I can get the elevation of anyplace just by running the cursor over that spot. I just love bringing up Puna and finding every address anybody mentions! Where's Ninole? |
