Here are a few ideas getting kicked around, from The NY Times:
large-scale stimulus bill...
... tax relief for airlines and cruise ships, along with potential efforts to calm markets and reduce volatility in trading... a possible bank holiday, in which financial institutions are closed.
...reinstating the “uptick rule” (for stock short sellers)
...aid to sectors... like tourism
... allowing some industries to defer tax payments... talking to financial regulators about ways to allow banks increase lending to specific industries.
Mr. Trump has suggested that he would be happy to see Democrats in Congress move to cut payroll taxes for a year.

Yeah, but much like Wuhan, many people ran for the exit shortly before the quarantine was announced. So they can try to gain some control inside the hot zone, but it's not stopping the spread into the wider country and beyond.

In Wuhan the raw unwrapped meat is handled and squeezed over and over until purchased. They have a way of deciding if the meat is tender if it bounces back or not when squeezed.

Damn. Whenever I buy Huli Huli chicken here I always squeeze all of the suckers to see which is the most succulent. I guess I need to give up that practice.

Hawaii can only test 20 people a day currently

It’s a real public service to report data as it comes in since CDC will not. But that 512 number (nationwide) is from only those who have been tested. So, we just need to be ready for it to go up in a somewhat alarming trajectory as testing ramps up.

Asked the latex glove wearing cashier at Ross today if she was interacting with customers showing signs of having a virus. Shockingly she told me too many who have a cold, flu or whatever there were more than she's ever seen and she was not happy about it at all.

007 now that we find out the Grand Princess had Wuhan Virus last month, its about the right timing to see a lot of community transmission running about. I expect things to degrade in the next couple weeks. Considering that #2 on Oahu likely picked it up in Seattle where its endemic it does not look good.
