Nice!!! How is the reception in lower HPP? Does it stutter at all? (I'm very curious, cuz we're gonna be broadcasting from the same direction as 45, with most people's antenna pointing towards Hilo).

mahalo m222. Scanned, and 13's are gone. 45 1,2 and 3, clear when they're not "stuttering". Our antenna points away from Hilo. Too many tall trees that way.

we're on 5th street and Makuu and picture is great with no stutter...... even when the wind was blowing!

Just tried and yes, now a clear digital channel for CBS. Two extra channels as well, 45-2 (ThisTV) and 45-3 (EscapeTV). No stuttering so far (lower HPP).

First scan... TV saw 3 new channels but only one of them came in, and so stuttered it was off more than it was on. I rotated the antenna to point a little to the west of Hilo and rescanned. TV didn't pick up the 3 new channels at all. Rotated it a little more...BINGO. All the channels coming in clear.

Only a matter of time before Puna has enough population density for the networks to bother with more transmitters.
Maybe get cable? Who doesn't have an extra $100/month for that?

Cable TV is dying a rather quick death. I predict that within 2 years one (or more) of the major cable networks will fold. TV is no longer the brainwashing media of choice. That honor now goes to the Internet

That is exactly why they will still be around until low altitude satellite happens. The cable companies are the ones delivering broadband.
