Just spoke with the young couple that had that excellent Med style cafe in the Pahoa Museum a while back. They are opening a restaurant across from Luquins in about a month.

I heard that the location next to Boogie Woogie Pizza was getting a new venture which would be specializing in shrimp. Perhaps this is the Mediterranean Style you refer to.

An Oahu style shrimp truck place is going in next to Boogie Woogie, the Med style place is going into the OLD Pahoa Village Cafe site and there are still signs of life at the Mighty Sushi in the Malama Marketplace, just not open. Pahoa, a little village of restaurants!

Since I live in a tiny Oregon backwater when on the mainland, I fantasize about eating out when I get to Hawai'i. My favorite eatery (mainly because it fits my budget and food style) is the buffet at the Natch. Funny no one mentioned it - for me it's heaven.

Aren't Shrimp a lot like big cockroaches that scurry around the ocean floor?

Nope, that's lobsters. Crawdads are the freshwater version. Bottom feeding bugs, both of them.

Rob, Yes, I believe so.

Their food at the Pahoa Museum was first rate with generous portions to boot. They had run a very well liked restaurant in the Lucadia area previously. Great folks too.

It's gonna be ono!

Rob was right, it is going into the "glass house", the Nursery.

Dominic Yagong sent me an illustration of what is described as a new venture for the Hamakua Coast.

The Dutch-Hawaiian Cheesery.

Very cute logo of a surfing Holstein.

Ya gotta admit. It would be new and unusual.

The illustration gave me the impression that it might be located in the former nursery adjacent to Tex's in Honokaa. Not sure about that though.

Sounds like a take off from the Surfing Goat Cheese factory on Maui.
