Thanks for the updates to the current growing pollution problem atop maunakea. Found this recent video that talks about the TMT project, maunakea, and some advancements in technologies.

Maunakea was once known to be a place that was peaceful, quiet, and calm. Hope those kind of qualities can return someday for future generations as well.

Opihikao, I pointed this out before, but you ignored my reply. So, I'm going to re-post it again. On what grounds can TMT sue the state of Hawaii if their permitting is ruled invalid? They haven't even started construction on the physical telescope facility on Mauna Kea.
I'm more concerned about the backers of the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope suing the state if Hawaii Supreme Court issues an unfavorable ruling in the Kilakila 'O Haleakala case. It will be a real hot mess if the Courts force the removal of a nearly complete telescope. Think about it.

Protestors insist that restoration is "impossible" once the mana has been disturbed -- you can put the rocks back, but it's too late.

Against the majority of PW that can't keep focus on a topic beyond the OP, it looks like the "work", or more specifically, site leveling isn't going to start back up until next spring. The night temperature is dropping fast, so snow at the summit is probably not far off. Having observed the short attention spans in south Puna for over 4 years now, by next spring, this will be another issue going from causing the imminent and horrible death of thousands through cancer and poison, to most people on Pahoa village road not remembering what TMT stood for. That will be at the same time all the people watching will be occurring, as Leilani, Nanawale, Kalapana, Seaview, et al are detoured through "downtown" Pahoa village.
