couple years ago while shopping at the Hilo Farmers Market i, and everyone else within screaming distance, noticed this lunatic set up across the street from Mo'oheau Park protesting a LGBT event/gathering in the park. what a completely vile and deranged individual. he ended up with the spectacle of being surrounded by a huge angry crowd chanting for him to "get out". highlight was seeing his vociferous rage after someone doused his truck with a purple glitter bomb.

That protest was in April if you look at the publication date on the article, two different instances of counter protests, maybe not even the same people involved.

During the Iselle aftermath, he was at the Leilani Community Center helping give away ice. We almost didn't take any because he had touched it! Anyway, I heard he got busted for welfare fraud so goes around - comes around!

His name is James George Borden and he's on Facebook! The really scary thing is his profile picture shows him holding a HUGE assault riffle and a Bible. That's pretty dang scary, a specially after that crazy kid just shot up that church in South Carolina! The guys is obviously very troubled, but at what point is he actually considered dangerous? Hopefully he doesn't start shooting people that disagree with his opinions.

The last picture of his family is from May 2010, and he started posting the whacko "AMERICAN PATRIOTS' MOVEMENT OF AMERICA" stuff in January 2011. I'm guessing one way or another, that's not a coincidence. Pretty sad.
