Invitation to Pahoa's community planning session - IKE - 03-21-2012 You are Invited You are invited to an important Pahoa Community Gathering on Saturday, March 24th, at 3:00 p.m., and we hope you will make plans to attend! This event will launch the Pahoa Regional Town Center Plan (“the Pahoa Plan”) and a Community Input Survey. The first half of the event, 3:00-4:30, will provide information and take your feedback, and then from 4:30– 6:00 there will be Taste of Pahoa refreshments and live entertainment. Check out our Flyer to see details! http://tinyurl.com/7dw9vkc What is the Pahoa Plan? The Pahoa Plan is a growth management plan for Pahoa, based on community vision and participation. It is an extension of the Puna Community Development Plan, which was adopted by County of Hawaii ordinance in 2008. It will serve to preserve historical Pahoa and guide its town center growth. More detailed information is available at: http://tinyurl.com/7dw9vkc Citizen input is vital to the Pahoa Plan and we want to hear from as many of our neighbors as possible who live or work or go to school in and around Pahoa. The focus area for community input is approximately the same as the 96778 zip code area. Please share this invitation with others so they, too, can join us at the gathering on March 24th. The best way we know to reach the most people . . . . . . is through email. Whether you are a resident, landowner, business or interested individual, please spread the word to your friends, family and neighbors in 96778. Send them this invitation, including the links, and print and post the flyer where folks will see it. We hope to see you all at the Pahoa Community Center on Saturday, March 24th! Questions? Please email your questions and comments to: pahoaplan@gmail.com … or if phone works better for you, call Cynthia at 640-8712 or Robin at 430-3991. A hui hou! IKE PAYNE |
