Small red ants NOT the little fire ant - dayna - 06-17-2012 So I have a question on ant control. We are buying a home, and there were millions of little tiny ants. At first I didn't see them, then when looking down at the concrete there were millions or billions of tiny tiny red ants. The inspector said they were NOT fire ants, in fact he stood there on the concrete in his bare feet and wasn't bit. I stood in them, they crawled on me and didn't bite even once. So whats the best way to keep them out of the house? The spiders in the house have been making many meals out of them, and yes, I'd like to evict the spiders too. As drug free as possible. I LIKE spiders, just not the couple hundred I found inside the house. So do the various "Grants kills Ants" products. Carol RE: Small red ants NOT the little fire ant - Carey - 06-17-2012 Amdro works on many species of ants. I would also recommend taking a sample of the ants to the COOP at 16 Lanikaula St SE corner of Kilauea in Hilo.... just to be absolutely safe & sure ( and to make sure that you do not have an infestation of a brand new ant...)
