Ron Paul's understanding of the economy is a matter of public record.

In fact he has accurately predicted every single economic down turn in the last 3 decades, with an explanation of why he believes they will happen.
No other politician has this track record. In fact no member of the Federal Reserve has this track record. And most noteworthy there are very few people in the financial sector with this impressive record of accuracy.
To put our trust in the people that never saw these coming to fix the problems makes no sense, especially since their fix is doing more of what Dr. Paul has identified as the cause.

Ron Paul is possibly the greatest statesman this country has ever produced. Now it’s your turn to decide what to do: Will you bring Ron Paul’s message of liberty, the same one that inspired you, home to your friends and family? Will you continue to participate in the process however best you see fit to?
A word of advice: Don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do. Think for yourself.
And a word of warning: Don’t waste your time criticizing Ron Paul. In over 30 years of activism, he has never compromised fundamental principles to advance himself. None of us have paid the price he has to have earned the right to criticize him.
In fact, don’t waste your time criticizing anyone. The window of opportunity to make a difference for the cause of liberty is now. You have to be alert and engaged to take advantage of this moment in the political calendar. Criticism is best left for others who have chosen to do nothing constructive with their time. I hope you choose to make the most of your time and of the opportunity that Ron Paul’s message has awaken us to and cause a lasting effect wherever you are and in whomever you are with.
Remember, the message of liberty is an idea that speaks for itself: People are born free and through free association build wealth and cause civilization to prosper. Liberty is just the legal description of our freedom birthright. Morality is the result of personal behavior founded on the respect and preservation of property rights. The regression and fall of civilization comes when people are no longer allowed to freely associate because of government edict which restricts the opportunities of people and marginalizes whole populations into poverty. This process of de-civilization causes people to focus on immediate survival rather than community building and ultimately hurts the cause of morality (and property rights) which relies on the principle of delayed satisfaction.
You can take this basic idea and from it develop your own arguments for liberty and your own arguments against destructive government policies.
We, who are still passionately involved, wish to turn the tide of our culture and history to the direction of expanding liberty. We reach out to you, who know the truth, to get involved. It is our turn to remove our consent from our government and replace it with new guardians to protect our liberty. We have a simple plan to do this through the political process – with your help this goal can be achieved sooner rather than later. We can’t wait for someone else to do this for us.
Here’s what you do: Use whatever you’re good at, with whatever time you have available and start doing something you like for the cause. It can be write a blog, run for office, join a coalition to reform the Republican Party or work at educating people outside of it. You can even dedicate yourself to networking with the business contacts you make within the movement (someone has to make money to fund the movement after all). In Miami, we have our own projects going on that you are welcome to participate. Just ask how you can help."

It takes a really special kind of person to take the time to pull up a 5 months old posting just so they can gloat. A sure sign of a truly classy individual, overflowing with positive feelings for their fellow humans, especially those with whom they disagree on charged subjects like politics, GMOs, and alternative medicine.

I am full of positive feelings for my fellow humans. They rejected Ron Paul as Republican candidate and they voted against nonsensical labelling laws in California. Hopefully neither will darken Hawaii's doorstep again.
Like the rest of the country, I had forgotten about Ron Paul and his ludicrous policies but then liksir started posting his quotes again.
There were some on this forum who claimed that somehow he (RP) would grab the Republican nomination at the convention so it's worth reminding them that they have no grasp of reality.
Alternative medicine? Alternative as in "it doesn't work" whereas the non-alternative medicine does? Sure, I'm always ready to provide some facts about that. What's your favorite one?

Have to agree with that sentence above. Ron Paul is Republican and Tea Party. The Tea Party has been a cesspool for wackos since day one. It's no wonder they went into a deterministic, delusion filled trance before the elections. The general consensus is growing that the Tea Party is dead. Good riddance. Only problem is those wackos will merge back with the regular right wing GOP now.

I don't like all these politically charged terms like "tea party" "republican" "democrat" etc.
these terms only divide us, by us I mean your average 6 pack joe-or me and you.
they don't define somebody or a group of somebody's any better than black or white does.
you might as well assume that anybody wearing a black T shirt automatically hates white people ... people are people and while some can be tricked, cajoled, or just plain out cheated easier than others they are still people.
i.e. we are all in this together and until we stop our own petty squabbling we will never break the masters whip

Ron Paul did win Hawaii and congratulations to him for that. But whatever happened to these masterful tactics he was going to employ to grab the nomination at the convention? Seems you don't understand how it works after all. Or did he cut a deal so his kid would have a future?
