Natural Farming Techniques in PUNA - A-Team - 06-30-2012

Just attended a seminar on the Korean Natural Farming techniques and working on creating the Indigenous Micro Organisms (IMOs). Has anyone gone through this process here and if so, how did you go about collecting and processing the IMO batches?
It's wetter here than in Korea so we have a different environment. The IMO #1 collection process requires dry weather which is rare here.

Looking forward to experimenting with these techniques here and making Puna grow!

During the collecting stage, just make a little rain tarp with a sheet of plastic or an old feed bag, whatever you have handy. Be sure to prop it up for airflow. Or, if you have a building on posts, with soil underneath (as opposed to a slab) you can make it & store it there.

Did you not get a chance to try it hands-on at the workshop? Or get detailed instructions on how to make IMO? If not, check out the website below. I believe there are basic directions somewhere there.

By the way, every second Tuesday of the month, the Natural Farm group meets. Anyone interested is welcome. Potluck afterwards. July's meeting is on the 10th.
