Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Seeb - 08-08-2012 I dont know how many have been following the Fugitive Dust issue. but the dept of heath is threatening HPP Massive fines because there is dust coming off the dirt roads. This is basically a financial nuke that may ultimately leed some people to lose their houses RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - rainshadow - 08-08-2012 Agreed. Our reactive board at work. August 15th meeting at the hui. Three minutes to say your piece. Good thread by Jerry Carr here: http://www.punaweb.org/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14828 -- rainshadow RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Seeb - 08-09-2012 Will nobody running for office step in to rein in a dept. that has clearly gone off the deep end with this. RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Seeb - 08-10-2012 I heard a radio ad from Bob Herkes mentioning the dust Issue RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - DanielP - 08-15-2012 How are they threatening and what are they threatening? RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Rob Tucker - 08-15-2012 The threat is $25,000/day fine if the dust is not abated. RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Royall - 08-15-2012 And why aren't they threatening the other subdivisions? Royall Hale O Na Mea Pa`ani RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Rob Tucker - 08-15-2012 They aren't threatening other subdivisions because no residents of other subdivisions have been obnoxious enough to file complaints. RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - JerryCarr - 08-15-2012 I was told that the fine could be up to $25K per day, but is likely to be less initially, if imposed. It could be as little as $800, depending on what the DOH decides to do. They might not impose a fine at all. That's why it seems really premature to be asking for $20,000,000. RE: Dept of Heath Threatening HPP - Seeb - 08-15-2012 It would be better to go to court with this than to rollover. Any decent lawer would get ti thrown out |
