USPS is changing more than just rates - toucano - 05-05-2007
When I mailed items Friday, the USPS guy told me that there are a lot of changes on May 14 besides just the rates:
ALL International Surface Mail is gone. Totally gone. That includes International Media Rates.
ALL boxes are supposed to be measured there because they have a new formula to use. He said it could be a very messy thing to deal with.
There were a lot more little gems he mentioned that will make going to the USPS more expensive and a bigger headache.
You can check the USPS site. But many changes are a bit hard to find and/or decipher unless you know exactly what you want to find.
