Bulldozing permits - EightFingers - 09-24-2012

If memory serves me, you only need a permit if you doze more than five acres. Am I correct on that?

Here's what I dug up on the requirements:

RE: Bulldozing permits - lquade - 09-24-2012

the county seems to get involved frequently if you make a drive apron unto a county road. if it is a private road they seem to leave you alone. again, as always, if no neighbors complain and you dont change drainage you are probably fine...

RE: Bulldozing permits - EightFingers - 09-25-2012

Basically it's just to clear some vegetaion as the lot is pretty flat. Hopefully it should be pretty easy......

RE: Bulldozing permits - Hapahaole - 10-19-2012

It is the law. Grubbing and grading 1/2 acre requires permit. 1 acre bulldozing requires permit. Because county Dpw refuse to comply. Hawiaian acres will fine landowners for violations.

Not Hawaiian Acres? Maybe Hawaiian Paradise Park.

RE: Bulldozing permits - EightFingers - 10-22-2012

This is HPP.

RE: Bulldozing permits - DanielP - 10-22-2012

Is that part of some cc&r's?

RE: Bulldozing permits - Carey - 10-22-2012

The Hawaii County Grubbing & Grading Permits are County Law (for what it is worth...).

A GRADING permit is required that involves 1) 100 sq yd excavation or fill 2) excavation or fill that exceeds 5 vertical feet in height 3) when generalized or local drainage abutting property lines is altered

A GRUBBING permit is required to clear ANY area over 43, 560 ft.sq. (exactly 1 acre)

RE: Bulldozing permits - EightFingers - 10-23-2012

Thanks, Carey, I have some side by side lots so I think I could get away with doing two acres with no permit!
I have a single lot on the point as well, but it's only 1/2 acre which will only need grubbing.
