Kamaili Rd Shouting - knieft - 10-17-2012
Shouting, not shooting.
Just wondering if anyone else heard a man shouting Heeelllpppp! repeatedly while walking/running Kamaili Rd last night. 8/9 o'clock-ish. A student who lives by the truck ramp heard it and they are hundreds of yards back from the road, as are we.
Actually, I'm more wondering what the story was/is than if anyone else heard it.
My first thought was to go down and see what was up. My second thought was to bring a permitted weapon if there was danger. My third thought was how as soon as I stepped on the road I would be a criminal if I had the weapon. My wife stopped my thoughts by calling 911. Surprisingly, 911 dispatcher didn't ask for her name or our address. We thought maybe they had a bunch of calls on it and didn't need more details. Dunno.
But I sure wonder what it was all about...and wondering how much of a chicken I was.
