We still wonder how redistricting and reapportionment got away with three Hilo districts and no Compliance with criteria for district 5.
Although no software, maps , nor meetings were ever held in
District 6 (5) now . They got away with giving Hilo, Keeau.
Lower Puna gets :Two fire stations , two huge transfer stations, ambulances within 5 miles , our forest reserves, open space to Hilo (, Ola'a , Stainback and Waikea .)
We got ; No transfer stations , no puna makai Connectivtity ,
. no agricultural lands.
Mr Kenoi should be reminded of the 48% who did not vote for him.
When is Dpw going to pay us for the highway through HA?
Moho road is closed indefinitely until albizia , invasive Plants , fire staion and transfer station are done
There no commercial traffic allowed up Ainaloa . highway 11 has necer been done done above Hpp bypass
We lost 22 million in road fees with houses not paying a dime on 3
Paved roads.
How does Dpw do a project on Ainaloa and south Kulani at the same time and never inform The landowners of Any plan .
Why do we have the only unpaid public used road in Hawaii.?
. They took connectivity to a new low. No FTR ever . Moho has more traffic
than highway 132 and 137 .. Why would the largest conservation and Agriculture lose their land We are not chain of

They are just council voting districts, they are not municipal boundaries

Hilo used to have 3 council districts and Puna had only 1. After redistricting Hilo lost 1 district to Puna. If you want to know how it happened, it is all public record, and all the meetings were open and transparent, transcribed and put on the county website. Go to the county website and click on Redistricting Commission and it is all there. You don't have to use your fertile imagination to imagine the worst, because it only betrays you. The truth is NOT what you seem to think.

You seem to be addressing a lot of issues, perhaps if you could expand upon each separately without clumping them all into one post together people would be able to respond and comprehend what you are talking about better. That said, sounds like you are barking up the right tree, i.e. understand the problems that are going on. Although, according to the posts preceding the OP it seems you maybe a little confused about the re districting.
I encourage you to continue to bring these topics to the forefront as many of them sorely require attention.

Transfer stations are conveniently located in Hilo, Keaau, and Pahoa, all of which are only a short drive along the clean, efficient, well-maintained State Highway System from Mountain View or Glenwood.
