Hair magic! - zzz - 12-11-2012

We are incredibly fortunate to have Mitch in Puna doing hair. He is right in Hawaiian Beaches, and he is so very talented and professional. My friends have been raving about him, and I finally made an appointment. I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. He is super nice and extremely affordable. He's done hair for many, many Broadway shows, and we are so lucky that he now lives and works in Puna. Always interesting that our island attracts such brilliant and talented people. Mahalo!!

" He's done hair for many, many Broadway shows. "

Are we talking about NYC or 'cats' in Oklahoma as per 'resume' ???

Do you have contact information? I'd like to give him a try next time I need a haircut.

POG-

Mitch has done hair for many NYC Broadway shows as well as national touring companies. His most recent gigs include "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" on Broadway last year (talk abut challenging hairdos and wigs!) and hair design for Cathy Rigby's "Peter Pan" productions. He's also worked "Cabaret" with Michael C. Hall (of Dexter fame), "Camelot" with Michael York and Lou Diamond Phillips, "Into the Woods" with Vanessa Williams and on shows including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miz, and 42nd Street. His number is (808) 965-1083.

why is it so difficult to post this kinda info?

15-2701 Lalakea Street, Pahoa, HI.
(808) 965-1083

I guess having some references is nice but why not just post some details like where it is ...

RE: Hair magic! - kalakoa - 12-12-2012

Why post details when you can help Facebook datamine everyone you know?

On-topic: I wonder how much for a plain buzz cut?

RE: Hair magic! - ericlp - 12-12-2012

Not everyone has a desire to be on Spacebook... back on topic ... 35 bucks for a haircut.

RE: Hair magic! - Kelena - 12-12-2012

I imagine some people get their hair cut a little closer to home, for free. I try not to imagine it too much though. I can't think about that today. I'll go crazy if I do. I will think about that tomorrow....

As for Mitch, I haven't had the pleasure yet, but he does come highly recommended. One thing I know and like about Mitch before even having met him is this: Mitch has a sense of community and has been generous in sharing his talents, as in a recent production at the Palace. Mahalo, Mitch. Hope to meet you someday.

Another hairdresser I took note of recently is one who volunteered his time to give haircuts to the poor. He was pictured in the Hilo-Tribune. Can't remember his name though. I was touched that he would give of himself in that way. Hairdressers with aloha. People who cut your hair and make you feel nice. I like people like that.

Having choices is a beautiful thing and I like that we have a community-minded person like Mitch available.

And heaven knows when you are thumbing it on Highway 130, or tooling around on the Red Road your hair must be absolutely perfect because....because....I forget why, but I am sure it will come to me.

As for me, I think I am going to remove one guitar string like Keith Richards does, start smoking so I get a bunch of lines around my mouth, mumble more and let my hair go wild and unruly......until I can't stand it anymore which will probably be about two weeks.

Thanks rich ... cool !

Agreed about *face* not saying the rest of it 'cause they might latch onto me here. ... LOL

But yep, a pet peeve ... Why does one have to go to face b ??? .... ooops almost did it again.

Eh Kelena, Two weeks is what it takes to get past anything discomforting ...inlaws at the house, break up, quitting ___ , starting exercise, etc. ... All good after that : )
Let yourself go ! Not much time left !

aloha,
