Fun art journey day with two 3 hr. workshops (10- 1; 2:30-5:30) all materials supplied.
Morning: First stretch silk scarf on frame, we talk color theory, mix colors. Then use brushes to apply liquid dyes directly onto silk in freestyle form. Result is your stylish 8 x 53" scarf. BONUS: use wax tjanting tool on silk sampler for more representational style painting.
Afternoon: Wax/dye method used for 12 x 16” silk painting. We talk composition, you paint sampler first then larger piece. Bring design concept from original photo, plant material or objects for an idea.
For beginner & int. artists ages 10 & up. $60 + $10 supply fee each class. Instructor Patti Pease Johnson.
