Does anybody know whats happening with all the bulldozing ,land clearing on #130 at the 4 mile marker ? Large amount of land being cleared.

Which way do the mile markers run? if it is near the merge with 11 it is for more farm land.
If not, have no idea.

If this is "near the high school", the rumor I heard was "big Shipman retail/office complex".
The clearing above 11 in Keaau has already been planted with papaya, but this just leaves me wondering which existing farmland is being upzoned.

"big Shipman Commercial (fill in the blank)" is always the RUMOR. Papaya is always the answer.

My mistake.... I meant # 132 at the 4 mile mark, past the power plant, same side of the rd.

It's zoned ag so probably more Papayas.
Just glad they are clearing out the Albizias,I was trapped there once when wind was causing the trees to break and fall across the road.

County website lists that land as belonging to Kapoho Land and Development. We got stopped by trees across the road there a few months back, blew a brake cylinder stopping.

the area on 132 that was recently dozed is for papaya - i have friends around there and they informed me that it was being rented out for farming papaya

I just noticed a large area that was recently cleared on hwy 130 today around mile marker 12

It's AG land. Unless you are raising a crop of Albezia then you pretty much need to clear the land.
