John Mayall in Honokaa - birdmove - 05-08-2013
May 18th Saturday. John Mayall with Kim Simmonds at the Peoples Theater at 7PM. Kim Simmonds was lead guitarist for Savoy Brown. I saw them at the old Paramount in Seattle years ago. Saw Mayall at a show in a small town south of Mount Rainier also a while back. My wife has seen Mayall many times over about a 45 year span. One time when Johnny Winter opened the show.
Anyway, should be a good night for John Mayall British Blues. Here is the web sight address:

When I saw John Mayall some years ago I got to talk to him for a bit as he was selling music dvds at the rear of the venue. I bought one for my wife. She was too shy to go and see him. I had just gone to see a great blues guitarist named Walter Trout at Jazzbones in Tacoma, Wa., and I mentioned that to him, as I knew Mr. Trout had played with Mayall for a time (like a huge list of fine guitarists had). He opened the music CD I was buying and he signed for us, and pointed out a song written by Walter Trout on that CD. Seemed like a nice gent to me. Also, he is in good shape for his age.
