Agenda 21 - Opihikaobob - 07-08-2013 What is agenda 21? In a nutshell, the plan calls for governments to take control of all land use and not leave any of the decision making in the hands of private property owners. It is assumed that people are not good stewards of their land and the government will do a better job if they are in control. Individual rights in general are to give way to the needs of communities as determined by the governing body. Moreover, people should be rounded up off the land and packed into human settlements, or islands of human habitation, close to employment centers and transportation. Another program, called the Wildlands Project spells out how most of the land is to be set aside for non-humans. A quick review of county council happenings reveals that aspects of agenda 21 are being manifested here on the local level. :http://records.co.hawaii.hi.us/Weblink8/0/doc/789793/Page1.aspx WHAT IS AGENDA 21? UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world. You can read about it for yourself on the UN website. http://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/Agenda21.pdf I would again caution people to be more tolerant and accepting of different people and different ideas. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. RE: Agenda 21 - Guest - 07-08-2013 Another claim of the lunatic - agenda 21! Been around since 1989 - and yet - what has been done? Nothing Its all bull**** http://www.dementedagitprop.com/ And if you believe in anything Glenn Beck - well - that just makes you a total idiot! RE: Agenda 21 - kalakoa - 07-08-2013 quote: Hawaii County has been around since 1905 -- and yet -- what has been done? (Well, besides granting infrastructure-free subdivisions as a political favor...) RE: Agenda 21 - Guest - 07-08-2013 quote: And what does that have to do with anything? RE: Agenda 21 - PaulW - 07-08-2013 "Moreover, people should be rounded up off the land and packed into human settlements" Where does it say that on the UN website? How about some facts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agenda_21 "Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development." |
