Found Dog - dayna - 11-08-2013

A dog came into our yard this afternoon. We're on 40th near Aulii in Orchid Land

Call me at 430-5383 to identify or email.

I'll run by the shelter tomorrow to get it scanned for a chip.

Dog is still found. Owner has not. Dog had microchip but so far there has been no return call from the message the Humane Society left them and no way to know if it is even a current number. If you live in/near Orchidland please ask your neighbors if they are missing a smaller dog.

For those of you who have been following the gripping saga of the found dog, he has been reunited with his family. Like all epic journeys this one came with a dramatic plot twist: the owner hadn't seen her dog in two years. It wasn't a miracle cure for blindness that allowed her to see her dog. It was a microchip. Yes, the same technology that you wear a foil hat to protect you against reunited this family and perhaps broke another one up. This tale of intrigue includes a mystery that began two years ago when the dog disappeared. Whether he was stolen, lost, or run away, we may never know, but had the Humane Society not injected the dog with a microchip, turning him into a cybernetic organism, he may have never seen its original family again.

A happy ending? Perhaps. Maybe it was kept in a damp lightless dungeon and force fed gruel and meth amphetamines until the day it escaped and enjoyed two years of milk bones, tummy rubs, and squeaky toys. Maybe technology is a bad thing. I need to find my foil hat and pull out these tooth fillings...

Well the dog found it's way back to our home this evening. He's locked up safe (so he won't get hit by a car) and we'll contact the humane society again tomorrow....

He was SO EXCITED to see us. All like "hey guys! I'm back! What's for dinner!!!!"

Why not just let the dog go home ?

RE: Found Dog - dayna - 01-08-2014

Because he won't. We tried and tried. He wants to kill my chickens and slips under my gate.

What's for dinner? I think you, answered your own question. CHICKEN! [Big Grin]

Dayna-- you deserve special thanks on behalf of all dog lovers everywhere. If I had a dog and if she were lost, I would want her to find her way to your house.

Sad to think the conditions this dog must live in that he keeps escaping to your house.
